Fall Festivities

Fall has officially started! With the cooler temperature, there’s no more soaking up the sun. If you need some activities to fill up your calendar this is the list for you!

White House Fruit Farms in Canfield is a popular place to go during the fall season. Visitors can enjoy the market, a pumpkin patch, and the famous donuts and apple cider. There is a sunflower field and budgie barn where you can feed birds, which are highlights during the fall season.

After an afternoon at White House Fruit Farm, families can go to the Scare grounds, located at the Canfield fairgrounds. There are five haunted houses, the Barn of Evil, Gore Reformatory, Slaughterhouse, Haunted Circus, and the new Neon Nightmare. There's also a zombie paintball. After getting spooked, splashing zombies, and outrunning the monsters, enjoy food from the food trucks that serve hot chocolate, fries, and funnel cakes.

When looking for something relaxing to do at night go to the drive-in. The Elm Road Triple Drive-in Theater is one of only about 300 remaining drive-in theaters in the United States. Elm Road Triple Drive-In is located in Warren and they're open every Friday and Saturday at 6:45 pm. Enjoy food from the concession stand that has a variety of dinners and desserts. Some popular menu items include pizza, fries, and a variety of ice cream flavors!

Next, there is Iron Mill Farmstead located in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. They are open every Thursday through Sunday. Iron Mills is known for their goats which visitors can feed and a variety of fun games to play. Visitors can enjoy a ten-acre corn maze, a hayride to go pick pumpkins, and a corn pit. There are also food trucks that serve pizza, fries, corn dogs, donuts, kettle corn, funnel cakes, and caramel apples. They also serve beverages including tea, coffee, apple cider, and hot chocolate. Amazing for all ages!

Another fun family outing this fall is the Maze Craze located in Springfield, Ohio. Maze Craze has been featured as one of the top ten corn mazes in the United States in 2018 and 2021 in the USA Today poll. This year's maze is Junglebook-themed. There are 21 acres of corn and over nine miles of twists and turns. In addition to the maze, pumpkins are available to purchase. Go on a hayride on Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to dusk.
