Miracle On Easy Street
After performing virtually for the last few years, East Street Productions is coming back to the Deyor Performing Arts Center (260 W Federal St, Youngstown, OH 44503)! Maureen Collins and Todd Hancock will host Miracle on Easy Street, a production featuring over 100 singers, dancers and Little Rascals. Listen to your favorite holiday tunes, watch the amazing East Street dancers, Christmas skits, and stories! Shows will take place on December 16th, 17th, and 18th. On the 16th and 17th, the doors will open at 6:30 pm, and the show will start at 7:30. On Sunday, the doors will open at 1:30 pm and the show will start at 2:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $19-$35.
Memories of Christmas Past
Take the whole family for a visit to Memories of Christmas Past at the Arms Family Museum (648 Wick Avenue, Youngstown OH, 44502) in Youngstown! Every holiday
season, the Arms Family Museum takes you through years of Christmas celebrations, decorating the museum and telling stories and the history of Christmas from the past. Kids can participate in a scavenger hunt, looking for different holiday themed items throughout the museum. At the end of your journey through Christmas past, visit the gift shop where both new and vintage items are for sale. Memories of Christmas Past is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12:00 pm till 4:00 pm. Adults are $10 admission, seniors(60+) and college students are $9, children are $8, and toddlers(3 and under), active military members, and veterans are free admission.
Joy of Christmas Light Display
This holiday activity does not even require you to leave your car! Visit the Joy of Christmas Light Display at Harvey S. Firestone Park (298 E. Park Ave., Columbiana OH 44408) to drive through a display of more than one million lights! As you drive through the park, there are some stops that you can make if you would like to. Stop at the gingerbread house to look at the amazing display of gingerbread houses made by families around the community. Then, visit Santa’s Ice Castle, for pictures with Santa, cookies and food, and fun holiday crafts and activities. The Joy of Christmas Light Display is open Thursdays through Sundays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The display opens November 17th and is active all the way through the end of December, with exceptions of days off and holiday breaks.(Check website for exact dates.) The admission is 20 dollars per car, and 3 dollars per passenger.
Pictures with Santa at the Eastwood Mall
While getting some of your holiday shopping done, come visit Santa at the Eastwood Mall (5555 Youngstown Warren Rd, Niles, OH 44446). Santa will be in the mall to take pictures and hear your holiday wishes from November 12th to December 24th. Santa’s hours to take pictures vary every week so check the mall’s website for updates.
Festival of Trees and Winter Nights
Fellows Riverside Gardens invites guests to experience Winter Nights, featuring an outdoor light display that highlights the beauty of winter and the holiday season. Inside, you can enjoy live music and occasional visits from your favorite holiday characters, like the Grinch on December 17th! This year, 50 decorated Christmas trees were brought to the Davis Center by local nonprofits. While looking at the beautiful displays of trees and flowers, visitors can also participate in a scavenger hunt and stop by the gift shop. Refreshments will be available for purchase in Kravitz’s Garden Cafe. The festival will be open from 10:00am to 5:00 pm Tuesdays through Sundays. The last day to visit is December 31st!
Luminary Lights at Angels for Animals
The holiday season is always a great time to give back. Come to Angels for Animals (4750 OH-165, Canfield, OH 44406) on Tuesday, December 22nd at 6:30 pm to make a donation. If you make a $20 donation in honor of a loved one or furry friend, the animal shelter will light a luminary in their honor. You can visit Angels for Animals in person or online to make a donation. All proceeds will go towards animal care.
Kraynak’s Santas Christmas Land
If you’d like to go for a little longer of a drive, take a trip to Kraynak’s (2525 E. St., Hermitage)! Walk through Santa’s winter wonderland and find Christmas gifts, treats, toys and more. Kraynak’s is open 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Mondays through Saturdays, and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sundays.
