Bowling is an important part of the extra curricular activities at Lowellville. Bowling teaches many things like self control, hand eye coordination, muscle memory, and social skills. You can make new friends and develop good relationships with coaches. It doesn’t take up a lot of your time and it’s not hard to pick up for a beginner.
With every sport there has to be players. There are a lot of kids on the team, each and every one of them likes to bowl and takes bowling seriously. The following were interviewed about this upcoming season. Connor Binion said, “bowling is pretty fun and competitive”. Binion also said, in order to have a successful season, “It will take positivity, energy, and staying focused”.
Connor Anderson agreed, stating, “Bowling is pretty fun.”
Binion and Anderson are prepared and ready to go for another bowling season. We have coaches and players that care about the sport and they are ready for the team to win. Our coaches and players have great personalities and are welcoming to players who are very new to the sport, especially the juniors and seniors. Each person on the team will bring energy and determination to a sport that is often underappreciated.
This year the team will be practicing at Holiday Bowl in Struthers. We will have to travel by bus to away games; however, the players need to have a ride to home games from their parents. Our uniforms are black khakis and a team polo that will be received during the season. The team would like for new players to come with their own bowling ball and shoes, but if you don't have them you can use the bowling alley’s equipment. This season will be a good one and we hope you will come out for the Lowellville bowling team.
