2023 NFL Playoffs


After an exciting 18 weeks of NFL football, regular season play has come to an end. These last few weeks of the playoffs have been an intense race for a spot in the playoffs, but not every team could make it. Here is seeding for this year's playoffs.



AFC NFC

  1. Kansas City Chiefs 1. Philadelphia Eagles

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars 4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Wild Card round took place from January 14th-16th. This round of football was action packed and filled with upsets. The Dallas Cowboys ended up beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-14. The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Cincinnati Bengals 24-17. The New York Giants upset the Minnesota Vikings 31-24. The Buffalo Bills barely took down the Miami Dolphins 34-31. The San Francisco 49ers blew out the Seattle Seahawks 41-23, and the Jacksonville Jaguars had a historic comeback beating the Los Angeles Chargers 31-30. Many of these games were a surprise to fans, considering the Chargers, Buccaneers, and Ravens were all favorites to make the Super Bowl.

The Divisional round, which took place January 21st-22nd In the AFC the Kansas City Chiefs took down the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20, and the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Buffalo Bills 27-10. This game was a surprise to many, the Buffalo Bills were Super Bowl favorites for lots of fans. In the NFC the Philadelphia Eagles blew out the New York Giants 38-7, while the San Francisco 49ers took the victory against the Dallas Cowboys 19-12.

Facing off in the NFC Championship was the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. This took place on January 29th. The 49ers were the front runners, but during the game the odds were stacked against them. The Eagles came out on top with ease 31-7.

However the AFC Championship was much more exciting. The Cincinnati Bengals fought hard against the Kansas City Chiefs all game, but the Chiefs ended up taking it by a field goal in the fourth quarter, with the final score being 23-20. The entire game the energy from the fans was electric. Good luck to the Chiefs and Eagles in the Super Bowl!
