Congratulations to the 2023 Sweethearts Nominees! Our first nominee is Francesca Lellio. She is the daughter of Frank and Ursula Lellio. She was escorted by Alex Modelski. Francesca is a part of Lowellville’s Art Club, Italian Club, Pep Club, Wellness, NHS, Green Team, Yearbook, Student Council, Future Teachers, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Marching Band. Francesca also participates in track, golf, volleyball, and basketball.
Alex Modelski, son of Lisa and Chris Modelski, plays football, basketball, and track. Alex is a part of National Honors Society, Pep Club, Italian Club, and Green Team.
Laila McCaughtry, daughter of Bill and Terri McCaughtry, was escorted by Marcus Dubos. Laila is involved in Drama Club, Green Team, NHS, Spanish Club, Yearbook, Student Council, Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and Wellness Club.
Marcus Dubos is the son of Jenette and Chuck Dubos. Mark is a part of the football and basketball team. He is also involved in Italian Club, Pep Club, and Green Team.
Averi Shumaker, escorted by Ryan Hvisdak, is the daughter of Kelly and Layne Shumaker. Averi is involved with Art Club, Wellness Club, Pep Band, Marching Band, and Concert Band. Averi is on the basketball, track, cheer, and volleyball teams.
Ryan Hvisdak, son of John and Lori Hvisdak, is a part of NHS, Italian Club, Pep Club, Student Council, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Marching Band. Ryan is involved in the cross country, basketball, and track.
Lily Vari-Coppola is the daughter of Lou Vari and Jodi Coppola. Lily was escorted by Vinny Ballone. She is a part of Lowellville’s Yearbook, Wellness Club, Italian Club, Green Team, NHS, Pep Club, Student Council, Pep Band, Future Teachers, Marching Band, and Concert Band. Lily is also involved in basketball and cross country.
Vinny Ballone is the son of Lori and Bob Ballone. Vinny is involved in basketball, football, and track. In Vinny’s free time he is also associated with Yearbook Staff, Pep Band, Jazz Band, National Honors Society, and Pep Club.
Carlina Vari-Coppola is the daughter of Lou Vari and Jodi Coppola. Carlina was escorted by Brady Bunofsky. Carlina is a part of Art Club, Yearbook Staff, Wellness Club, Pep Band, Jazz Band, NHS, Pep Club, Student Council, Marching Band, and Concert Band. Carlina has participated in Lowellville’s basketball, volleyball, and cheer teams.
Brady Bunofsky is the son of Ron and Andrea Bunofsky. Brady is involved in football, basketball, baseball, and track.
