Valentine’s Date Ideas

With Valentine’s Day approaching, couples are looking for things to do with their significant other. If you’re having trouble coming up with a date that meets your price range or even just need a creative idea, this is the place for you. Starting from the least expensive options and moving to more extravagant plans, here is a list of dates that any couple could enjoy. . .

Stay in: While this isn’t the most action packed option, sometimes staying in and spending time with your partner can be a relaxing way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Besides, home is the one place where you are in control of the environment. Make popcorn and watch a movie together, set the table for a romantic dinner for two and cook together, the possibilities are endless.

Spa Day: There is nothing better than being able to relax and get built up tenseness out of your body. Take your significant other and have a spa day together. You can go out to the store and buy the materials (face masks, teas, skincare products) to have a DIY spa day at home. You can find these products at Target, Walmart or any other large grocery store. This will cost between $40-50 depending on the quality and quantity of products you buy. Or, if you are feeling extravagant and want to really pamper your partner, treat them to a visit at an actual massage parlor or spa! If you feel like splurging, spend the day at the spa getting pampered in style and luxury. Body Works in Poland runs around 40$ for a 30 minute session and will be open 9-6 on Valentine’s Day.

Escape Room: These rooms are a fun challenge for anyone. Spend some time trying to solve puzzles and riddles to escape the room before time runs out. The suspense of trying to beat the timer is guaranteed to get an adrenaline rush out of you and will ensure a date that you will remember. Escape Boardman, located at the Southern Park Mall is a great option for an escape room in the area.

Dinner and a Movie: Another classic date that combines the “new experience” of a movie and the ability to talk to each other during dinner. If you’re looking for a nice fancy restaurant, Aqua Pazzo has amazing food and a great atmosphere, however the prices are a bit high. Another option is Springfield Grille, which has some less expensive options. Go watch a movie of your choice before dinner, that way you can talk about the movie if you need a talking point. There are plenty of movies in theaters to pick from but our recommendation is the upcoming horror movie Knock at the Cabin. However if you’re not into horror, the upcoming movie Your Place or Mine is an alternative option and is definitely more romantic.
