Falling In Reverse, “Watch The World Burn”: Released January 31, 2023
Falling In Reverse is an American metal rock band, which started in 2007. They have released three albums: The Drug in Me Is You (2011), Fashionably Late (2013), Just Like You (2015), and Coming Home (2017).. The single “Watch The World Burn” is a cross between screamo, metal, and rap. The song is about lead singer Ronnie Radke’s inner demons and expresses how he feels towards his haters.
Paramore, “This Is Why”: Released February 10, 2023
Paramore is an American pop punk band that started in 2005 and released several albums, some of their most popular albums are Riot (2007) and Paramore (2013). Their new album, This Is Why is about an anxious woman popping out of her shell. My personal favorite song on the album is “This Is Why” because the lyrics are relatable.
Linkin Park, “Lost”: Released February 10, 2023
Linkin Park is an American rock band that started in the 2000s. The lead singer Chester Bennington died in 2017. They remaster snippets of his voice to make a whole new song “Lost” which is about changing and becoming a better person from the pain of the world.
Pierce The Veil, The Jaws Of Life: Released February 13, 2023
Pierce The Veil is an American rock band that started in 2006. They have released four other albums, with my favorites being Cradle With the Sky (2012) and Selfish Machines (2010). The album The Jaws Of Life is about how life can sink its teeth into you and try to find a way out.
Halsey, “Die 4 Me”: Released February 17, 2023
Halsey is an American alternative singer who started in 2014. Fans say her song “die 4 me” is a call out to her ex boyfriend, rapper G-Eazy for cheating on her. With lyrics like "I went through your phone / And called the girls in your DMs.”
Gorillaz, Cracker Island: Released February 24, 2023
Gorillaz is a U.K alternative group started in 1998. With their first hit being Clint Eastwood. Their album Cracker Island tells the fake story of Cracker Island.
All Time Low, Tell Me I'm Alive: Dropping March 17, 2023
All Time Low is an American pop punk band started in 2003. Most known for their single “dear meira, count me in.” for their 10th year anniversary they came out with the album Tell Me I'm Alive that sounds extremely rushed so far as of March 10th.
Fall out boy, So Much (For) Stardust: Dropping March 24, 2023
Fall Out Boy is a 2001 punk band started in Chicago. As of March 10th two songs have been released “love from the other side” and “ heart breaks feels so good” The album is said to be about a story told by the bassist Pete Wentz. The lead singer (Patrick Stump) says he has been working on this album for the last few years.
Melanie Martinez, PORTALS: Dropping March 31, 2023
Melanie Martinez is an alternative pop artist who got her start on The Voice in 2012. She has two released albums. Her new album PORTALS has one song that has been released as of writing this however, the album and song has not reserved well on tik tok because she's leaving behind the “Cry Baby era.”
Waterparks, Intellectual Property: Dropping April 14, 2023
Formed in 2011 a pop punk band who take a lot of inspiration from Fall Out Boy. Their new album Intellectual Property has four songs released so far and it's probably my favorite on this list. It's about letting someone take up all the space up in your head rent free.
